Winter’s cold dreary days make us all want to stay at home and hide under the covers. As if to make matters worse, winter fashions often match our wintery moods and are mostly gray and black. We think that bright colored clothes, particularly fun bright colored dresses, are just what we need to chase the winter blues away!

Rony wore a mesh-sleeved A-lined yellow dress with a gray oversized jacket, black tights and black wedge heels, purple rope and gold statement necklace and pink bracelet.

IMG_12571 IMG_12611 IMG_12621 IMG_12881

The black wedges worn with black tights give the dress a classy elegant look and make Rony’s legs look extra long. The colorful jewelry compliments the bright color of the dress and makes it more playful and girly.

Vera wore a red lace and chiffon dress with a studded denim jacket, gray tights, black patent moccasins, and oversized geometric necklace.

The denim jacket gives the whole look a hip and fresh twist. The moccasins and architectural accessories make the sexy Spanish-inspired dress more edgy and business-like.

Hello blogging world, we’ve missed you!
Sorry we disappeared for a bit, we have both had the busiest couple of weeks. For those of you who don’t follow our facebook page, Vera had a baby girl!! We are very excited!

One of our favorite ways to cover up and keep warm in the colder months is by wearing cozy furry vests. For this post we decided to go totally animalistic and put together fuzzy and warm fur vests with some sexy animal print pieces.

IMG_11521 IMG_11491

Vera wore an oversized fur vest with buckles over a snake print tunic, studded olive green skirt, Fly Foot leather booties (more about Fly Foot’s amazing shoes here), and cream tights.

IMG_12031 IMG_12091 IMG_12111 IMG_12131 IMG_12151
Dresses that become too short during pregnancy could still be worn as a tunic with the right skirt. Wear it with the right tights to achieve a long slim legs look.

IMG_11591 IMG_11661 IMG_11681 IMG_11721 IMG_11631 IMG_11551 IMG_11561 IMG_11571
Rony wore an oversized fur vest with a waist cinching belt over a puffy sleeved leopard print dress, pearl necklace, high heeled ankle boots and metallic tights.

IMG_11852

IMG_11941 IMG_11981 IMG_12181 IMG_11741IMG_11751 IMG_11761 IMG_11791 IMG_11841
The metallic tights added an edgy and unexpected flair to Rony’s outfit as well as a new kick of color. Rony kept the outfit classy by wearing elegant, monochrome jewelry and accessories.

When it comes to fur we believe in only wearing faux!

When getting dressed in winter the first priority is to keep warm. Well, our first priority is to manage to stay fashionable while keeping warm. Therefore, our number one must have item in cold weather is a fabulous sweater!

IMG_10761

IMG_10752

Both of us hardly have time for shopping, which is why we love online shopping! We recently discovered Everbuying.com, an awesome online shopping website which has a wonderful selection of chic and warm sweaters to choose from, as well as any other winter must haves you may be looking for. The best part of this website is that their fashionable merchandise comes in very low prices and free shipping! Now that’s our kind of fuss free shopping experience!

Christmas is right around the corner; every year the holiday season brings with it fabulous knits with adorable motifs, from the heart print to animal patterns. The thing about these cutesy sweaters is that we feel the need to dress them up so that we can wear them everywhere, from the office to the weekend. A great way to do so is by layering them and piling on the accessories.

IMG_10491

We picked out Everbuying.com‘s Rabbit Pattern Sweater, which is warm, chic and adorable!

IMG_6494

Rony dressed up the sweater by wearing it over a patterned tunic, leggings, thigh high boots, a statement Perspex and stones necklace and big rings.

IMG_11121IMG_11181 IMG_11243 IMG_11251 IMG_11472

IMG_10521 IMG_10541 IMG_10571 IMG_10921

IMG_10941

Vera made her adorable hearts print sweater more sophisticated by layering it over a polo shirtdress and putting it together with a silk scarf, knit tights and brown flats.

IMG_10651 IMG_10691 IMG_10711

IMG_10811 IMG_10801***Styling tip*** Play up your silk scarf by tying it into a bow. It makes the look more interesting and hip!

IMG_11361

We like our sweaters a bit oversized so that they can be piled over shirts and dresses for a chic layered look. More ideas on how to style oversized sweaters here.

We love being girls and we love being girly girls and dressing the part! We can also, however, really appreciate a sexy masculine look.

While we’ve explored the masculine power dressing before – see post here and here – this time we decided to unleash our inner bad boys, with a little biker chic, a lot of classic Black+White and a whole lot of winter must haves!

IMG_64601

Our inspiration for this post was Diane Keaton’s effortless elegance as Annie Hall in Woody Allen’s 1977 film.

***Pregnancy styling tip*** When pregnant, all you want to wear are leggings, but that doesn’t mean you have to look like you’re going to the gym! Style up your leggings with a nice blouse, cardigan, and lots of fabulous accessories.

IMG_09621

Rony wore a white button down blouse and pleather shorts over tights, embroidered vintage vest, wide brimmed hat, leather ankle boots and layered necklaces.

***Styling tip*** Wearing a high waisted cut and black tights makes your legs look super long and sexy!

Capes were all the rage in the fall collections, and for good reason; what’s more fun than feeling like storybook heroines while braving the rain and the cold?!

We decided to give capes a go in one of our favorite colors – Red. Red is a very powerful, feminine, eye-catching color; exactly the kind of mood lifting color we need for those dreary cold winter days!

IMG_06601

IMG_06612

Rony wore a hooded Urban Outfitters cape with an Asos faux fur stole.

IMG_08282

Under the cozy coverup she wore a button down feather print blouse, print skirt, rhinestones necklace, earrings, rings and cuff, and Steve Madden velvet peep toe wedges.

IMG_08351 IMG_08371 IMG_08411

IMG_08661

Rony’s faux fur and piles of accessories made this outfit lavish and fit to impress.

Vera wore a knit turtleneck cape.

IMG_08461

Under her cozy coverup she wore an asymmetrical top, velvet leggings, blush red flats and a gold geometric necklace.

IMG_08551 IMG_08561 IMG_08582 IMG_08641

The great thing about Vera’s cape is its versatility: it can be worn as a cape or a scarf and create different looks.

IMG_06671 IMG_06711 IMG_06782 IMG_06811 IMG_07621 IMG_07731 IMG_07851 IMG_08001 IMG_07981

Velvet is coming back in a big way this season. We suggest wearing little touches of velvet here and there for a cool wintery effect.

IMG_08611

One of our fun joys in life is makeup. We love playing around with it as much as we love playing with our outfits. Being the busy girls we are, our makeup routine is usually very basic. We recently received a wonderful gift: the book Makeup is Art by the Academy of Freelance Makeup, a book filled with amazing ideas and inspirations. We decided to take this opportunity and really get inspired and explore looks we don’t usually wear.

IMG_6448

Vera went for earthly tones of brown, gold and light pink. These are the perfect makeup colors for fall and they beautifully compliment her red cape.

IMG_08701

IMG_08522

Rony decided to mix colors and went for turquoise and antique pink on her eyes and bright pink on her lips. These colors bring out Rony’s brown eyes and give her outfit an edgy flair.

IMG_08731

IMG_08321

Along with the fabulous book, we also received a massive package of Joy treats (oh the perks of being fashion bloggers). Joy treats are a new product launched and manufactured by Strauss Group, an international food and beverage company based in Israel.

IMG_6447

The idea behind “Joy” is to give consumers just that – a big joy they can enjoy for breakfast, on their break at work, or when they get home from a busy and exhausting day. The treats come in awesome flavors (our favorite is the chocolate with coconut bits) which include fruit chunks and chocolate sprinkles and other delicacies.

Strauss also launched a Joy %0 fat treat so we can enjoy all that chocolaty taste without feeling guilty.

IMG_10291What we like to enJOY when we get home: Fashion magazines and Joy treats!

IMG_10331Besides fashion, sweets are definitely some of our greatest joys in life, especially when they come packaged in such pretty fall colors! Yes, we see fashion in everything!

In a world where fashion is accessible anywhere and everywhere on the web, every designer item has a knockoff and when a trend becomes trendy every self respecting fashionista wears it (case in point: the Zara skort), we want unique!

It has always been our goal, and we know that many girls share these feelings, to wear something that not everyone has, something more special and rare.
In comes jewelry designer Liat Ginzburg.

IMG_00931 IMG_03161

Ginzburg jewelry can best be described as works of art. All pieces are hand made by the designer and no two pieces are exactly the same.

Liat creates her jewelry using unique components, from vintage pieces from the 70`s and the 80`s, which she collects on her travels in streets and markets around the world, to various plastic, perspex, rubber and wood components, combined with pieces created by laser cutter.

IMG_00841 IMG_00871

IMG_03131

Ginzburg’s unique jewelry has been featured in the most prestigious fashion magazines around the world, from Italian Vogue to French Grazia, to Spanish Harper’s Bazaar, to Belle Mode. She has become the darling of stylists and celebs and women from across the world. While we were photoshooting at Liat’s studio, jewelry was getting picked up for Trinny and Susannah’s Tv show, currently being shot in Israel.

That’s pretty impressive for a designer who doesn’t even have a PR or marketing team. She must not need one, her stunning jewelry speaks for itself.

What we wore

The styling idea behind our outfits for this post was to create a blank canvas for Liat’s beautiful jewelry. After reading our friend Diana of Manhattan Image and Style‘s post on colors that go with your skin tone, we realized we love clothes in light yellows but never actually wear them because we always assumed they would look bad with our fair skin! Diana inspired us to give these colors a try!

Vera wore a plaid yellow strapless dress with a sheer banana blouse and light beige sweater on top.

IMG_02182

Vera is now starting the third trimester of her pregnancy so she has quite a big belly, which by now is pretty difficult to hide.

IMG_01282

Vera likes to show off other parts of her body, like her legs which have stayed skinny throughout her pregnancy (some girls are just lucky!).
Vera’s outfit, composed of layers, knits, and tights, is perfect for fall and as the weather gets colder.

Rony wore a cream sheer top with Topshop banana tweed shorts and a vintage beige masculine blazer.

IMG_02561

IMG_01971Rony’s shorts do a great job showing off her long legs; since they are so short, wearing them with oversized pieces on top keeps the outfit elegant and interesting.

We do believe opposites attract when it comes to fashion so to set off our sexy outfits, we both rocked masculine flat booties, perfect for fall!

This photoshoot was taken at Liat’s studio, a wonderland in its own right, rich with colors and textures and adorable animals that model jewelry!

Last night we attended one of our favorite fashion events of the year: Fashion Night Out Tel Aviv, the kick start event for Tel Aviv Fashion Week. This is only the second year the event takes place in our city, last year’s event was such a success that it was bound to become an annual fashion tradition!

IMG_04592

As in last year’s event, FNO was held at Kikar Hamedina, Tel Aviv’s central square of luxury shopping.

IMG_62682

The square’s luxurious boutiques opened their doors to fashion enthusiasts, society ladies, models, journalists, and innocent passers-by enjoying the celebrations.

This year’s event was extra special though, as it featured a modern art exhibit by artist Eran Shakine, held at the square’s Zemack Gallery.

IMG_04281 IMG_04301 IMG_04441 IMG_04351
We really enjoyed this exhibit; you know how much we love our art, and especially art inspired by fashion. The bronze heels sculptures could be likened to three dimensional fashion illustrations.

IMG_04311

We browsed the amazing sales the boutiques had to offer. We were obviously blinded by all the Gucci, Burberry, Lanvin, Prada, etc, but our favorite boutiques were the ones selling local labels, from the well-known to the obscure, and really unique clothing.

Rony wore a vintage bow tied blouse with a striped skirt, asymmetrical cut studded leather jacket, high heeled booties, striped quilt bag and a hair bow.

Hello fellow fashion lovers!

We find that there’s no more inspiring fashion scene than the one found on the streets. The styles found on the streets of New York during the latest New York Fashion Week were no exception! From Olivia Palermo to Miroslava Duma, the ladies of New York fashion wowed us! One theme we particularly loved on the ladies were the different modern takes on flower prints.

Flowered Romance
Vera’s version, a romantic pleated frock in subdued fall colors, is perfect for evenings as we transition into fall.

IMG_92851
Vera wore a one shoulder pleated flower print dress with a vintage Prada bag, peep-toe kitten heels, gold chain necklace with leaf pendants, and a link cuff.

**maternity styling tips** The empire cut of Vera’s dress is a comfortable and flattering shape for maternity, because it is sewn above the belly and from there flows down.

This dress can be worn during the day with a cardigan and ankle boots, or in the evening with high heels.

For those of you who are having trouble letting summer go, as we are, bright colors and mismatched prints are still in style and sure to raise the mood of any fall day.

Happy Monday friends!

We don’t know if it’s the youtube cat video craze that brought this on, or maybe sir Grumpy cat is to blame but lately fashion has had a serious love affair with anything animalistic. Leopard prints have of course been around for a while and are making a serious comeback along with zebra, snake, giraffe, etc. Half the zoo can be found on the runway!

This time, however, the animal print has taken on a new graphic pop-arty persona. Case in point: Christopher Kane’s animal face dresses and model of the moment Cara Delevingne’s lion face tattoo.

article-2326653-19DA3F4D000005DC-784_634x506

Cara Delevingne and the lion face. Photo courtesy of dailymail.co.uk.

Here are some ideas on how to wear animal prints both for day and for night:

IMG_6092

Rony wore a chiffon overlay leopard print strapless dress with a snake print ribbon belt, leopard print slipper flats and clutch, and a gold and rope necklace.

IMG_91482 IMG_91151 IMG_91162 IMG_91202 IMG_91223 IMG_91262 IMG_91272 IMG_91141 IMG_91421 IMG_91441 IMG_91462

Wearing triple leopard print works in this outfit because each item has its own variation of the print and color, rather than being too matchy.

IMG_91551

IMG_91722

The tribal, ethnic style of Rony’s necklace compliments the animal theme of the outfit and the gold spikes give it a bit of cool edge.

IMG_91524 IMG_91503

Vera wore a stretch tiger print dress with a gray vest, studded purse, rhinestones collar necklace, black hat and studded sandals.

IMG_91582 IMG_90833 IMG_91011 IMG_91032 IMG_91041 IMG_91051 IMG_91101 IMG_91122 IMG_91341 IMG_91351 IMG_91391

**maternity styling tips** For women who like to show off their bump, as Vera does, stretchy dresses are very comfortable but should be worn at a size bigger so that they don’t look too tight.

IMG_91631 IMG_91662

Don’t be afraid of wearing edgy, punky looks; we believe women shouldn’t have to change their style when they are pregnant, in fact they should embrace and flaunt their pregnancy!

August is coming to an end this week and soon the weather will start to cool down and fall will arrive. Where we are it’s too hot to even start thinking about a fall wardrobe so we like to take advantage of this time before the seasons change and wear some of our favorite summer trends and staple items.

1. Tropical prints: These colorful prints are summery and fun and will always remind us of our favorite tropical get away. They can be worn during colder months with tights and a darker palette.

IMG_6199

2. Sea-inspired fashion: We could live at the beach and love fashions that reminds us of the sea. More ideas on how to wear sea-inspired and nautical fashion here.

IMG_88551

3. Gladiator sandals: The gladiators in their many versions have ruled the sandals scene in the past several summer seasons. Both practical and chic for the hot and humid summer months, our prediction is that the gladiators are not going anywhere anytime soon!

IMG_88811

4. Cropped tops: While this is a trend that isn’t for everyone and isn’t so easily wearable, we absolutely love it for day and night. The crop top can go retro and romantic with a high-waisted midi skirt or sleek chic with wide legged trousers. Our little bit of advice is: don’t show your belly button and don’t wear the crop top with anything tight on bottom; no one wants to look like a 90’s teeny bopper!

IMG_88722

5. Oversized, colorful jewelry: The fashion world has been taken over by lavish statement making jewelry. Our favorite designer is Liat Ginzburg; she makes unique one of a kind creations that can go with anything from jeans and a T-shirt to cocktail dresses.

IMG_87723a

6. Fancy slipper flats: The pointy slipper flats are so elegant and sexy that we would wear them for evening as well!

IMG_88791

Rony wore a backless cropped top with tropical print high waisted shorts, Liat Ginzburg necklace, yellow clutch, and pointy-toed slipper flats.

IMG_88623 IMG_87541 IMG_87581 IMG_87591 IMG_87602 IMG_88051 IMG_88083 IMG_88322 IMG_88333 IMG_88373 IMG_88383 IMG_88403

IMG_88732 IMG_88771 IMG_88672

Vera wore a tropical flower print dress with a thin plaited belt, seashells necklace, and metallic gladiator sandals.

IMG_87501 IMG_87521 IMG_87781 IMG_87871 IMG_87941 IMG_88182 IMG_88261 IMG_88271 IMG_88451 IMG_88471 **Maternity styling tips** The wide A shape of the dress is a perfect fit for comfort. The bright print blurs the developing pregnancy bump while showing a bit of skin as well!

IMG_88571 IMG_88581 IMG_88542

As much as we love the hustle and bustle of the city, there’s no better surprise than finding a gorgeous garden with a fish pond to get away to! This little urban jungle not far from our offices  allows us to get away for a bit and take a break from our busy schedules.
