Spring is just around the corner, and as we prepare our wardrobes for warmer weather, it’s important to consider all aspects of what we wear. As you go through your closet, and go shopping for new outfits, be sure to remember to update your underwear drawer, too!

Here are some ideas for ways to bring spring style trends to every aspect of your wardrobe, from your lipstick color and accessories all the way to your bra and panties!

Black and White

Judging by the looks spotted at New York Fashion Week, black and white is still a classic chic look that is here to stay.

To bring that trend into the bedroom, sexy lingerie brand Adam & Eve, points to the Sweet Innocence Babydoll piece, a stunning white babydoll with dramatic black edging.

The beauty of black-and-white lingerie and underwear is in its simplicity. These pieces go with everything, they’re timeless, and, best of all, they’re in season!

Hot Pink and Orange

Remember our tips and picks of the hottest trends of the coming season? Bold bright colors are so hot this spring. Wearing bright undies is a great way to get in the spirit of springtime! Lace bra and pantie sets in one of these two hues are sure to satisfy your craving for the bright flowers of spring and those hot sunny days. We love the lace tie up details on this pair.

More is…More?

Modesty is another lingerie trend this season. Sometimes the more that’s left to the imagination, the more desire is sparked. According to The Lingerie Journal, retro, high waisted, and comfortable is totally in.

Go Sporty

Those thick waistband underwear in bright white? You know, tightie-whities? They can make for some incredibly sexy lingerie. Even the sexy guys at DSquared designed pieces this season that are athletic-inspired.

And let’s be real ladies, we all have those days when we just need to be comfortable all day.

No matter what your tastes are, there is sure to be a 2014 lingerie trend that you’ll love, whether you’re drawn to timeless fashions like black and white, you’re a sporty girl looking to find some comfortable lingerie for the spring, you’re a bold and bright kind of girl, or you love retro.

Circa_1975_WonderbraUnderwear may be hidden under your clothes for the majority of your day (or make out the majority of your outfit if you’re Miley Cyrus)

but we find that wearing the right lingerie just makes us feel good, both physically and mentally.

Have a lovely, sexy spring everyone!

A revised version of bingo helps you plan your outfits!

Transitioning to a new season is always tough, especially for people who live and breathe fashion. New seasons mean new trends to keep up with, new items of clothing to invest in, and new outfits to plan; It can get pretty overwhelming. Luckily, BooHoo.com has come up with a little game of Wardrobe Bingo to help with all that hard work.

It might seem like bingo has no place in the fashion world, being the drab, boring game that senior citizens play in stuffy bingo halls, but the game seems to have sprouted a sense of fashion in recent years. Not only have the most fashionable people of the world started to take up the game (case in point Kate Moss and Catherine Zeta-Jones, unashamed lovers of bingo), but the game itself has started blooming into a colorful experience.

Not your average game of bingo at RebelBingo.com

No longer confined to calling out numbers in boxes, bingo has also seen powerups in the form of Greek, Roman and Egyptian gods in Bingogodz, and wild bingo competitions in Rebel Bingo. BooHoo.com has taken bingo further into the fashion world by creating a simple game that allows the stylish to make full use of their bursting wardrobes.

Screenshot 2014-02-09 14

The principles of Wardrobe Bingo are simple: gather five items that fall under the following categories: tops, bottoms, shoes, and accessories, and label each item with a number from 1-5. Participants then pick a random number for each category, put on all the corresponding clothing items, and take a photo of the final outfit.

As spring approaches, now is the perfect time to start looking for some of the key pieces that will make up your wardrobe. A quick edit through BooHoo.com’s Wardrobe Bingo can help you plan what items of clothing to invest in next, especially when working on a budget. To play, grab a bingo card template off the internet (or create one yourself — just a 5×5 grid on a piece of cardboard), and mark each row as Tops, Bottoms, Shoes and Accessories, and each column with a number from 1-5. In each box, take down a key Spring 2014 trend that corresponds to the clothing group.

Here are some of our favorite trends to rock this season, courtesy of Elle.com:

For tops, off the shoulder shirts and dresses are all the rage this coming season.

Color: Orange is the new black, and pinks are perfect for spring.

We love fierce and lavish gem embellishments.

For bottoms:

Crisp wide white trousers were seen on all the hottest runways.

Geomteric and minimalist cuts and prints rule this season.

Metallics make a strong statement.

Metallic from head to toe at Tory Burch.

Board shorts are effortless and chic.

For shoes:

Curved heels are the newest rage in shoe trends.

elle-01-curved-heels-walter-steiger-floral-pump-v-xln

Walter Steiger printed curved heel pumps.

Pumps and high heels worn with socks. This trend is fun and bold, don’t be afraid to mix colors!

elle-perfect-pairs-socks-opener-h-xln
Mules (that’s right, the mules are making a serious comeback this spring), and for comfort look to skater shoes, as seen on uber fashionista Jourdan Dunn.

elle-skate-shoes-opener-joan-smalls-v-xln

For accessories, our favorites of the spring collections were the big, bold, colorful, and DIY-inspired pieces.

elle-nyfw-spring-2013-trends-orange-is-the-new-black-prabal-gurung-lip-1-xln-xln

Funky sunglasses at Prabal Gurung.

Now before you go out on a shopping spree, roll the dice for each clothing group, and take note of the corresponding trend. For example, rolling a 3 for bottoms means you’re going out on a quest to find the perfect board shorts, and a 5 for accessories will send you on a lookout for bright gems. When you roll a 6, pick out your trend of choice from the list.

Flowers have so much meaning in different cultures around the world. To us, they signify the coming of spring, of warm weather and picnics in nature and the feelings of excitement and expectation.

Flower motifs have always been in style, from the days of Marie Antoinette to today, they have remained relevant and feminine. Flower prints decorated our clothes when we were little girls and continue to, to this day.

Flowers usually have big presence at the spring collections, this year’s collections were no exception, and we have styled them for warm weather outfits here and here. This time, however, we decided to bring spring into our lives a little early and make the trend cold-weather appropriate too!

Tel Aviv’s finest boutiques opened their doors to some of the city’s coolest fashionistas, models, drag queens, tweens and other passerbys for the first ever Fashion Night Out Tel Aviv!

The event took place at Tel Aviv’s uber-exclusive Kikar Hamedina, a central square which is home to the most luxurious boutiques selling both Israeli and international labels.

Balloons at Burberry

Some boutiques we particularly enjoyed:
Persy had a live dj who played very cool electro beats and self serve Jaegermeister and Red Bull next to some amazing dresses.

Pearls, gold, and diamonds (and amazing goodie bag) at Pandora

Madame de Pompadour had dames dressed in 18th century costumes playing the violin and entertaining the crowds.

Michal and Moran, a Tel Avivi label we happen to love, had their mannequin sitting pretty in a gorgeous pale gown on a wooden horse in the middle of the red carpet.

It was hard to tell what sparkled the most, the dresses, the Champaign or the fashion stars strolling the carpet!

For us this event was especially meaningful because it puts our city on the map as a true fashion capital.

Rony’s FNO outfit: cotton romper, men’s suit jacket, vintage heart shaped purse, sequins and fabric necklace, silver jewelry and metallic strappy high heeled sandals.

Follow us as we report from more fashion events during Tel Aviv’s month of fashion! Coming up next: an intimate afternoon with one of Israel’s most influential designers, international fashion bloggers visit Tel Aviv, fashion shows and events and much more!

Lirone provides tips and techniques on how to network and define one’s personal brand in effective ways, both on and offline. One of her goals is to help her clients understand the power of their clothes and appearance as a way of controlling the impression they leave on others.

Lirone works with entrepreneurs, business owners, students and anyone who is looking to get more out of their life and career. She helps these individuals identify the personal assets that are unique to them and teaches them how to use these assets to their advantage.

Lirone turned to us at What We Wear to help her choose the best outfits to express her sparkling and vivid personality, and at the same time her professional and business oriented mind. Our goal was to achieve the “business look” but with a little twist- adding something fashionable, young, fun to her outfits to express her personality. We went for looks that exude professionalism but also style, chic, and confidence. Since Lirone’s business involves office time, meetings in and out of the office and a dynamic schedule, we put together outfits that could take her from office meeting to business lunch to client dinner.

Outfit number 1: suit jacket, silk top, pink ruched high waisted skirt, vintage purse, large gold jewelry, crème peep-toes

Outfit number 2: belted high waist skirt, print mesh button down blouse, silver chains and necklaces, canvas “biker” jacket

Outfit number 3: bright blue layered puffy high waisted skirt, bright orange top, cropped Sgt. Pepper jacket with golden cuffs

Outfit number 4: flower petal mesh tunic, cropped leather vest, leather waist belt, leggings, high heeled sandals

Lirone used the tools and confidence we gave her to put together an outfit which she used for a photoshoot at Freezer Photography Studio.

We truly hope that spring has arrived to your home town because it surely hit ours!

The lovely warm weather and all the flowers that are blooming right now make us crave flowy dresses, hats and of course our favorite accessory- vests. So of course we decided to go boho chic on this post and show you how the look can be achieved.

Rony wore an  A-lined collar navy and white checkered dress. The layers of the dress along with the striped brownish gray vest looked fabulous on Rony and really flattered her shape. She wore nomad-like suede flat booties and a men’s straw panama hat. Sometimes it’s fun to steal from the boys, masculine accessories give feminine dresses a cool twist.

I wore a long floral dress sewn by none other than my mother and moi! The short puffy sleeves of the dress flatter my arms and the high waisted shape combined with the long length would give anyone a beautifully long silhouette. My strappy camel wedges probably helped with the long silhouette 🙂 But flats will look fabulous as well!

Oh the bohemian life… flowy dresses, cool jewelry, awesome music and art and a chilled lifestyle.. sound good? Sounds amazing to us!

So take a walk on the beach, enjoy the sand and the breeze and the sun! But don’t forget to stop for some refreshments in the hot weather!

Spring is in the air: The birds are chirping, the air is getting warm and the flowers are in bloom. What a romantic time! Now is the perfect opportunity to wear your most romantic, hippy clothes and be sure to wear some flowers in your hair 🙂

Lace, flower prints, flowy fabrics, embroidery, light vests should all be part of your fashion vocabulary this season. Spring time is great time to wear closed shoes and booties without the need for tights and before it gets too hot and balmy.

Vera was hot in 70’s chic with an embroidered handmade blouse from the Ukraine which she wore with a denim jacket, boot cut dark jeans, brown braid belt, two-toned faux croc heels and gold jewelry.

I wore an embroidered flower print dress with a vintage lace vest, waist cinching belt, colorful scarf which I wore as a head band, high heeled booties and a vintage gold necklace.

Now is a great time to get in touch with nature, explore and hike. Or if you’re a city girl/guy like we are, look for a spot of nature in the city where you can find your serenity.

Let’s be nice to planet Earth and be environmentally friendly; after all it is our only home!

Hello loves!

Our friend Mariana, a very busy Biology student who doesn’t have much time for shopping, complained to us that she doesn’t know how to wear and put together some of her favorite clothes. Vera and I came to the rescue and jumped at the opportunity to style someone other than ourselves 🙂

It turns out that Mariana has great closet staples, from skirts to tops, shoes to accessories. We just helped her put together the outfits and had a blast doing it. While usually conservative in her fashion choices, Mariana was the perfect subject and model! She was totally open to our suggestions and got creative with us, putting her own say into the outfits.

Lessons learned from this styling experience:

– Opposites do attract: big with small, flowy with tight, even opposite prints and colors.

– While we all go for the trend, the most important value of the outfit is that your personality shines through it and that you don’t become just a hanger.

– Dress for your body, not everything is flattering on everyone.

– Most importantly, fashion is all about being open minded, letting loose and having fun!

xoxo

Hello boys and girls,

Geek is in! Every one of us has their inner geek, it’s all a matter of whether we chose to embrace our geekiness or not. Vera and I say why not show your nerdy self in the best way possible?!

For our first photoshoot, which we are sooo excited about, we dressed like our proper nerdy school girls-selves and the result? Très chic!

Vera was office ready in her Ray Ban glasses and a pinstriped button down shirt tucked into a high waisted skirt. She put a cool twist on the look with her furry booties and represented in an English flag cardigan.

I wore a vintage school girl dress with knee-high socks and ballerina flats and a briefcase-like bag. I offset the good girl look with a cropped leather jacket and a gray scarf.

until next time, xoxo

Hello world!

As students of design we are constantly looking for inspiration. Here are pictures from an exhibit we visited at Tel Aviv’s ZeZeZe Architecture gallery.

What’s cool about this exhibit is that the display could be viewed from various points of view, one could roll around in the chairs offered at the exhibit and enjoy the projects from underneath, from the side, and be surrounded by the project from all directions

To find out about exhibits at the gallery visit:
