Remember the online shopping event we told you about? Well we decided to really take advantage of the event and stock up on some must haves for our winter wardrobes.

IMG_81801

Here are some of the items we got.
Skinny stretch jeans from 1item in maroon and in flower print. These are comfortable and practical and can go from office to evening.

IMG_30421

Patterned sweater from 1item, flower appliqué crepe skirt and leather bag from Niti Chic Boutique. We were in love with this skirt the moment we saw it, it is so romantic and versatile and really flattering! This is the perfect skirt for all seasons. A practical black bag is a must.

IMG_30431 IMG_30441

Because we have every intention of wearing short dresses and skirts throughout winter, tights are a must. Tights don’t have to be worn just for practical reasons, we like to play with patterns and colors, and find that sheer tights (with lower denier numbers) are a very sexy addition to the outfit. We picked out these fun patterned tights.

IMG_81811 IMG_30531

In colder months the cold weather leaves our skin dry and chipped and e find that we have to take extra good care of our skin. While we try to moisturize more, a good facial cleanser is a must. We got Vichy’s purete thermale cleanser from the fabulous Medi Link online pharmacy; it leaves your skin feeling clean and fresh without drying it.

IMG_30491

We just had to accessorize our iPhone with this fabulous Marylin Monroe phone cover from 1item!

IMG_30511

We weren’t the only ones who got to enjoy this shopping experience, little Ms. Watts scored this adorable striped sweater from Castro. Cute and cozy!

Winter is slowly creeping in on us and any change in seasons is the perfect excuse to renew our wardrobes. Being the super busy ladies we are, juggling families, full time jobs and our blog, online shopping is the ultimate shopping experience for us. This is why we were thrilled to find out about Shopping IL, an exciting online shopping extravaganza hosted by Google Israel, taking place on November 11-12.

Untitled-7
Shopping IL is an amazing initiative launched by Google Israel to give us all the opportunity to enjoy unforeseen sales, amazing prices and limited time offers at some of our favorite local online stores, with all products getting delivered to our doorsteps in no time! (well maybe a bit of time if you’re living outside the country 😉 )

We took part in Google’s event to launch this amazing initiative and got to meet some really cool local blogging and youtube-ing superstars, as well as enjoyed some Google-branded treats and beautiful views of Tel Aviv!

This week it rained in Israel. This may seem like a ridiculous statement to those of you who have been enjoying snow storms and a real winter. The weather has truly been all over the place this year, one day will be warm and spring-like and the next very cold and then rainy.

One thing is for sure though, we don’t intend on letting the weather stop us and neither should you!

This photo was taken on a particularly romantic rainy winter evening. We loved the weather so much that we had to step out into the rain and sip some champagne. More from this photoshoot here.

We hope you all enjoy what’s left of your winter!

Last weekend we visited Tel Aviv’s T:Market fashion event, a hip gathering of the coolest people in town and the most amazing up and coming designers.

While the original idea behind this event was a T Shirt market, it has expanded far beyond. Some of the coolest ready to wear designers in town sold clothes, jewelry, accessories, bags, tights, etc, and all at ridiculous sale prices!

This was a very fun and inspired week for What We Wear as we attended “Flash”, a fashion event that promotes young up and coming designers.

Flash Fashion Event

The event featured the latest collections in clothing, jewelry, outerwear and even tights. All the gorgeous creations on sale were definitely a sight for sore eyes!

Among our favorite collections on display at the event:
Petitaureau: A jewelry and accessories label designed by the talented Mayan Hazan which features ultra feminine and delicate items with admirable attention to details. Everything from the pendants (or pin) to the clasps is adorned with hearts, stars, skulls, etc. Adorable!

Itay Gonen Accessories: An eponymous label offering serious statement making jewelry made from a variety of materials. This is the kind of jewelry that could make an entire outfit, no need for anything else!

Ida Nudel: Remember our lavish photoshoot with fashion designer Adi Ashur? Ida Nudel was her classmate at Wizo Design Academy, and is just as talented. On display were feminine and adorable tops, dresses and pants. We were really impressed by the craftsmanship of Ida’s collection, particularly the hand-sewn jackets! Gorgeous works of art!

Some other designer highlights were Guapa, a collection dedicated to leggings, in every color and every print! The designer was just as cool as her pieces.

Miki B‘s collection offers beautiful clothes in so many colors and prints. Our favorite was a fluffy, sparkly, multicolored number that we wish we would’ve found before New Year’s Eve; it would’ve been the perfect piece to wear!

The event took place at the cool and trendy Polaroid bar and was joined by cool beats courtesy of Dj Lomp & Joe.

Street performanceAs girls who have travelled and partied around the world, we can vouch for the fact that Tel Aviv has parties like nowhere else in the world.

The latest one we got to experience was a daytime street party which featured live dj and rock band performances, a runway show and some serious street dancing.

Rock star performanceWe loved what the singer of this band wore! So Couture!

Shenkin Street, a center of young and hip designer and vintage boutiques and a focal point for some of the city’s hottest individuals, had been undergoing renovations for the past few months. As the construction on the street ended, the city of Tel Aviv decided to throw a sort of “relaunch” party to celebrate the culture and fashion of Shenkin.

Tel Aviv Fashion Week is in full force and while the city is filled with super fashionable people and designer runway shows, the boutiques are celebrating as well!

You know those boutiques that are so beautiful you just have to stroll through them even if you can’t afford to buy anything? Such is Razili, a boutique selling all the biggest names in Israeli fashion and design innovation.

Of course we were thrilled to attend the boutique’s Fashion Night event, as part of Fashion Week.

Razili has a very unique approach to fashion and works hard on promoting young and promising Israeli designers. Their clothes are made from top notch fabrics and innovative sewing and cuts. Even better, if you ask us, are their accessories! One of our favorite jewelry labels is Noritami. If you recall, Rony rocked their wood and gold necklace at Tel Aviv’s Ready to Wear event. Noritami design accessories using a mix of unconventional materials, such as wood, polymer and fabric with all kinds of metals. The designs themselves are very architectural, which we are of course drawn to.

We loved seeing how the girls in the store put together their outfits, each giving the beautiful clothes and accessories their own twist!

The event was joined by a very romantic rainstorm that marked the much awaited official start of fall in Israel!

Rony wore a maxi asymmetrical navy skirt with a cream knit turtleneck, brown leather jacket, camel booties, golden lace necklace, and a Coach bag.

Vera wore forest green skinny jeans with an oversized gray sweater, green men’s cardigan, gray scarf, oversized necklace, satchel, and the Fly Foot booties we got during Fly Foot’s collection launch party.

Rony felt very artistic that night…

We hope you’re enjoying a very romantic autumn!

What We Wear was in attendance as Maya Negri showcased her new collection for an intimate and exclusive crowd of celebs, fashion people, and internationally renowned bloggers.

The clothes and accessories were gorgeous, the music was awesome and the vibes were fun!

Maya Negri is an Israeli fashion designer whose unique line incorporates design, innovation and top quality all natural fabrics. True to the Israeli minimalist look, the collection featured a lot of monochromatic pieces -black, gray, cream and brown. The shapes and cuts of the clothes, however, make them very feminine and delicate.

This event was part of “Vibe Israel”, a blessed project launched as part of the effort of Nonprofit organization Kinetis. Kinetis is an organization dedicated to promoting the recognition of Israel internationally as a vibrant and inspirational source of creativity. As part of “Vibe Israel”, Kinetis invited five bloggers who are extremely influential in the fashion and design world, to learn, experience and document the creative side of the country. We were honored to take part in this project as we too believe that while it isn’t recognized as a fashion capital, Tel Aviv is progressive, innovative, and inspiring.

During the event we mingled with local fashion people and of course with the fashion bloggers.

Designer Maya Negri, Adi Kaplan senior project manager at Kinetis who lead the “Vibe Israel” project,  and the international bloggers

Rony and writer and blogger Robb Young, wearing matching cuffs

Rumi Neely and Bryan Boy

One very important tip we got from one of our favorite fashion bloggers, Daniel Dykes, was that success in this kind of media comes from doing your own unique thing and knowing the right people, like lot of other things in life! Hopefully someday the “right people” will take a chance on us

Vera and Daniel P Dykes of fashionising.com

Rony even got herself a goodie: Gray felt cropped vest!

Here’s how we dressed to impress:
Vera wore a flapper style shift dress adorned with stones, knit cardigan, leather satchel, and mustard kitten heels.

Rony wore an asymmetric shift dress, print scarf, men’s hat, vintage heels, woven clutch, and golden cuffs.

Keep it simple and stay fabulous!

Tel Aviv’s finest boutiques opened their doors to some of the city’s coolest fashionistas, models, drag queens, tweens and other passerbys for the first ever Fashion Night Out Tel Aviv!

The event took place at Tel Aviv’s uber-exclusive Kikar Hamedina, a central square which is home to the most luxurious boutiques selling both Israeli and international labels.

Balloons at Burberry

Some boutiques we particularly enjoyed:
Persy had a live dj who played very cool electro beats and self serve Jaegermeister and Red Bull next to some amazing dresses.

Pearls, gold, and diamonds (and amazing goodie bag) at Pandora

Madame de Pompadour had dames dressed in 18th century costumes playing the violin and entertaining the crowds.

Michal and Moran, a Tel Avivi label we happen to love, had their mannequin sitting pretty in a gorgeous pale gown on a wooden horse in the middle of the red carpet.

It was hard to tell what sparkled the most, the dresses, the Champaign or the fashion stars strolling the carpet!

For us this event was especially meaningful because it puts our city on the map as a true fashion capital.

Rony’s FNO outfit: cotton romper, men’s suit jacket, vintage heart shaped purse, sequins and fabric necklace, silver jewelry and metallic strappy high heeled sandals.
