Winter is slowly creeping in on us and any change in seasons is the perfect excuse to renew our wardrobes. Being the super busy ladies we are, juggling families, full time jobs and our blog, online shopping is the ultimate shopping experience for us. This is why we were thrilled to find out about Shopping IL, an exciting online shopping extravaganza hosted by Google Israel, taking place on November 11-12.

Untitled-7
Shopping IL is an amazing initiative launched by Google Israel to give us all the opportunity to enjoy unforeseen sales, amazing prices and limited time offers at some of our favorite local online stores, with all products getting delivered to our doorsteps in no time! (well maybe a bit of time if you’re living outside the country 😉 )

We took part in Google’s event to launch this amazing initiative and got to meet some really cool local blogging and youtube-ing superstars, as well as enjoyed some Google-branded treats and beautiful views of Tel Aviv!

Long time no see darlings! It is so good to be back, and what better outfit to make a comeback in than retro, the style that keeps coming back?!

IMG_28112

We love feminine and ladylike fashions and the 50’s is one of our favorite fashion eras! High waisted, A-lined, midi length, all cuts that are super pretty and chic and very flattering too.

Rony wore a polka dotted crop top with a high waisted red midi skirt and blue peep toe heels.

IMG_28411 IMG_28451 IMG_27961 IMG_27981 IMG_28141 IMG_28151 IMG_28171 IMG_28182 IMG_28161 IMG_28191 IMG_28481 IMG_28491
We love mixing ladylike with more sexy edgy pieces. Rony’s crop top is the perfect mix of sweet and naughty!

IMG_28471

Vera wore a polka dotted A-lined mini dress with blue ballerina flats and a blue satchel.

IMG_28341 IMG_28321 IMG_28371 IMG_28381 IMG_28511 IMG_28021 IMG_28031 IMG_28221 IMG_28251 IMG_28271 IMG_28281 IMG_28291
Vera proves that wearing one color from head to toe can be refreshing and classy!

what are your favorite retro styles? share them on our facebook page!

The big question on everyone’s lips is how to look fashionable and trendy at the office while staying office-appropriate.
We put together some of our favorite office-cool outfits with our must-have staple item: A patterned button-down.

IMG_27072

Rony wore a patterned button-down shirt with a tweed skirt, green patent bag, red patent mary janes, and a multicolored statement necklace.

IMG_27411 IMG_27451 IMG_27531
The secret to successfully mixing prints is all about the colors: Mix prints with similar shades of a certain color or with complimentary colors. This will allow the prints to go well together and not clash.

IMG_27541

Vera wore a sheer snakeskin print button down shirt over a tank top with a high waisted skater skirt, thin studded belt, patent leather moccasins, patent leather bag, and sheer tights.

IMG_27631 IMG_27661 IMG_27701

If you wear a sheer top to the office make sure to wear it with a top underneath; you want people to be talking to your face, not your bra.

IMG_27721

The bold print of Vera’s top is best worn with classy solid pieces on the bottom so as not to look too flashy.

The accessories are where you can get really creative, mix colors and add bold pieces.

IMG_27571 IMG_27751

Our suggestion is to wear comfortable shoes and not go crazy with the heels; you don’t want to be limping by the end of the work day!

This weekend marked Tel Aviv’s annual T-Market event, a fashion event that celebrates local young talents in design. Although the central idea behind this event started as a T-shirt market, it has expanded beyond and now features clothes, accessories, shoes, bags and even art, as well as cool live music and cheap booze.

IMG_7250

IMG_23142

The whole layout of the event had a very market place feel, which we loved. It made the atmosphere cool and laid back and allowed the designers to get really creative with their displays. Not to mention that the designs on display were sold at (almost) market prices. The sales were insane and we just couldn’t resist. The accessible prices and fun young atmosphere made this a kind of fashion event for the masses.

Here are some of our favorite designs:
Shani Jacobi‘s interesting geometric jewelry incorporates leather, gold and Swarovski crystals for a look that is sure to make a statement.

IMG_23271 IMG_23281Rony picked out Jacobi’s minimalistic gold rings.

T-Market sold amazing clutches in just about every color, size and texture.

IMG_23301 IMG_23311 Rony picked out an oversized wicker clutch.

IMG_23322

Punchaos is a jewelry and accessories label with girly and retro designs. It is clear that designers Jessica and Yuval love to experiment with material and color and the results are beautiful.

IMG_23171 IMG_23161 IMG_23191We love seeing how designer Odelia gets better and better each time we see her designs. Her beautiful nature-inspired display caught our attention and we loved the designer’s new rings collection.

IMG_23481 IMG_23491 IMG_23511 IMG_23551 IMG_23521You may remember Odelia’s chic clutches from last year’s event. Rony scored Odelia’s delicate and beautiful gold heart bracelet.

IMG_23731

Sackpack had a very chic adult version of that sack pack we used to have as kids, in various materials, textures and colors.

IMG_23611 IMG_23631

One of the coolest displays by far were by Dima Gorbachev, who had his super cool T-Shirts taped to the walls.

IMG_23591

Natalie Motlis, the designer behind jewelry label Lilla My, is one that never fails to make us feel a serious sugar rush because her designs are so sweet and creative.

IMG_23641You may remember the label from this post and this post. From the adorable creatures adorning her jewelry (bulldogs, kitties, fish, rocking horses and many more) to the unique pieces they are made of, to the gorgeous display, Lilla My is always a treat!

IMG_23651 IMG_23671 IMG_23691

Rony wore a houndstooth print crop top with high waisted long shorts, peep toe bow pumps, blue and orange clutch, colorful necklace from Madrid and hair tie.

We’ve been nominated for blogging awards before and never really did anything to participate (don’t hate us!), but this time we were nominated by a blogger we particularly love, the adorable and fabulous Vivian of atouchofvivian, and we just couldn’t resist.

100_33262

Here are Vivian’s questions for us:
When and why did you start blogging?

We started blogging in february 2012, in our senior year of university, after having shared design and fashion ideas with each other for so many years.
We both had so many ideas we wanted to express and share with the world and decided to do that together.

What do you love most about blogging?

We love getting fashion inspiration from interesting people around the world and the amazing feedback we get from our awesome readers! There’s nothing better after all the hard work we put into making our blog interesting.

What’s the story behind the name of your blog?

We were inseparable in university and everyone always used to make fun of us for wearing matching outfits. The funniest thing about it though, was that we did it unintentionally! We just have style telepathy and therefore decided to name our blog “what we wear”.
The url whatwewear was already taken so we had to settle for “Watt”, which is Vera’s last name. So clever, we know 😉

What type of camera do you use for your blog?

We use a Canon Powershot SX 40 HS, which is a good quality camera and certainly good enough for us. We also use a professional tripod so we rarely use photographers. The tripod is like the third lady on our blog, it’s present at all our photo shoots; although we sometimes look a bit silly posing with the timer 🙂

Where do you find inspiration for your blog posts?

Inspiration is everywhere, in fashion magazines, in movies, in shops, but mostly we are inspired by street styles and by other bloggers.

Who is your fashion inspiration?

We can’t say that we have a single fashion inspiration because we love to combine different looks rather than stick to one style. Some very fashionable women whose styles we love are Olivia Palermo, Anna Dello Russo, Miroslava Duma, and Solange Knowles.

What is your fashion statement?

Dare to wear!

What is your current fashion obsession?

Our current fashion obsession is midi skirts, they are so feminine and ladylike and we love that they are making such a huge comeback. In fact, they’ll be featured on our next post!

What are three things you can’t live without?

Fashionably speaking, mascara, a hot pair of heels and chic dresses. Practically speaking, our families and loved ones are the only thing we absolutely cannot live without.

What is your biggest fashion regret?

We don’t believe in fashion regrets! If you think something is wearable then go for it!

Where do you see the future of your blog going?

Hopefully expanding, working with more designers. We’d love to showcase more of our favorite local talents, as well as work with designers from around the world. And who knows, maybe one day we’ll have our own column in a fabulous fashion magazine!

As per the rules of the blogging awards, we are supposed to nominate 11 other bloggers. We thought it wouldn’t be fair to play a popularity contest and chose only 11 bloggers, especially because there are hundreds who we love and feel inspired by! So we nominate all of you wonderful readers and wish you lots of success and fun on all your blogs!

Thanks again for all your love and support, and thank you Vivian for actually getting us to participate in this 🙂

Happy Spring beautiful people!
To welcome spring in style we decided to post outfits composed of our favorite trends that ruled the runways at the Spring 2014 shows. Check out our review of our favorite trends this season if you haven’t already.

We loved the flower prints and pastels and particularly loved the bejeweled pieces seen at the hottest shows. As girls who love to accessorize and sometimes take more time to pick out jewelry than the outfit itself, what could be better than clothes that come with their own jewelry?!

IMG_19691

Vera wore a jewel encrusted loose top with a pleated pleather miniskirt, knit cardigan, gray tights, brogues, and a silver and perspex necklace.

IMG_20942 IMG_21041 IMG_21061 IMG_21091 IMG_21471

A light cardigan is an absolute must in every closet as the seasons change.

IMG_19771 IMG_19801 IMG_19861 IMG_20441 IMG_20472 IMG_20491 IMG_20521 IMG_20531 IMG_20761 IMG_20811 IMG_20831 IMG_20891

Rony wore a rhinestones encrusted blouse over a button down shirt with a flower print skirt, gray tights, thigh high boots and a neon clutch.

IMG_21181 IMG_21402 IMG_21422 IMG_21451

Not ready to wear short sleeves just yet? Layering is a great way of breaking out your favorite warm weather clothes.

The flowers are starting to bloom, the sun is coming out to play, spring is coming!! This transition period between winter and spring can be tricky to style because it’s still chilly, especially in the evenings, there are high chances of rain, yet the days get gradually warmer.
Our favorite items to rock during this transition weather are light coats, preferably in our favorite colors and patterns that will be relevant this coming spring season.

IMG_18433 IMG_18421

Rony wore a peach trench coat over a cream playsuit, gray tights, loafer wedges and a gold necklace.

IMG_19211 IMG_19241 IMG_19281 IMG_19321 IMG_19341 IMG_19571

IMG_18671 IMG_18681 IMG_18641 IMG_18601 IMG_19061 IMG_19091 IMG_19111 IMG_19181

Vera wore an ethnic print trench coat over a black puffy skirt, striped top, studded loafers and gold necklace.

IMG_19361 IMG_19391 IMG_19432 IMG_19451 IMG_19501 IMG_19551

IMG_18481 IMG_18521 IMG_18561 IMG_18881 IMG_18931 IMG_18951 IMG_18831 IMG_19011 IMG_19021

The fabulous thing about these coats is that they can be a chic cover up both for day and for evening.

More of our favorite trench coats here.
