Happy Valentine’s Day to our loved ones around the world!

We love celebrating love, and every celebration for us is a great excuse to experiment with our style. This year we decided to focus on the color Red, as it is the ultimate color of romance and passion. Here are some of our tips for a red hot Valentine’s outfit.

When looking for a dress for a big occasion the first thing we look for is the right cut. The most important thing about a party dress is that it suits your figure and that you feel your best in it. If you’re not sure what cut suits you the best, go for a shape that flaunts the best parts of your body, what you are most confident about. Rony has a very feminine figure and a small waist so she went for the princess cut- This cut keeps everything cinched in and put together while flaunting Rony’s figure.

We like to dress understatedly sexy, there’s a fine line between seductress and trash. Rony decided to show a bit of skin in the back and kept the rest of the dress covered, yet form fitting.

Choosing the right fabric is as important as the cut of the dress.

Accessorizing : Rony’s dress was so attention grabbing, she decided to keep the rest of her outfit solid and classy. She wore drop rhinestones earrings that complimented the retro style of the dress, sheer black tights and black nail polish, and black high heeled pumps.

Hello loves!
This weekend marked the Jewish holiday of Purim, a holiday that celebrates the Jews’ deliverance from massacre and destruction in the ancient Persian Empire. In order to commemorate their salvation, Jews around the world celebrate in a day of feasting and rejoicing which includes dressing up in costumes and public celebrations.

We absolutely love costumes and dressing up so needless to say this is our favorite holiday!
Rony dressed up as a red-hot devil, wearing a red tutu, red corset, bright red wig and red horns.

Besides hundreds of parties everywhere you look, the biggest party of all took place in the streets!

As in every year during Purim, the city of Tel Aviv organized a huge street party which took place on a main road and included performances by the hottest DJ’s around, parades, headphone parties and most importantly, dancing in the street!

Whether you won it in some contest, borrowed it from your boyfriend, or wore it only around the house, every T-shirt has a story, which makes them more sentimental than most items in your closet. Plus, T-shirts are some of the most comfortable clothes you could own; they require no effort, you just put them on and go. But can T-shirts be chic and stylish? Absolutely!

When worn with such feminine skirts, the T-shirts make the outfit cool and unexpected. Putting together an elegant item with a casual or athletic item makes the outfit more relaxed and cool and appropriate for almost any occasion.
Here are some of our favorite T-shirts and how we made them look chic:

Outfit 1: Mad as a hatter

Vera wore a Civilian army green sleeveless T-shirt with a form fitting black zippered skirt, cropped vest, gold link necklace and platform booties

I wore a print T-shirt with a vintage puffy skirt, link stretch belt, top hat and strappy high heeled sandals.

Outfit 2: Candy Colors

Vera wore a yellow printed Civilian T-shirt with a green wash denim skirt, studded belt, beaded necklace, and leather moccasins

A great way to dress up a T-shirt outfit is by wearing big bold accessories. We did so with our belts, shoes and eye catching jewelry.

I wore a printed fuchsia T-shirt (worn tied up) with a high waisted studded skirt, glasses necklace, zebra ring and studded canvas moccasins

Outfit 3: Play on Plaid

Vera wore a printed glitter T-shirt, plaid A-line skirt, orange leather belt, beaded necklace, and plaid peep toes

It’s a common and outdated cliché that different prints and clashing colors don’t go together. That cliché has been proven wrong, so don’t be afraid of mixing patterns and prints! Just make sure to keep some of the prints calmer to emphasize a certain item or piece of clothing.

I wore a light blue Civilian T-shirt, plaid high waisted skirt, leather studded belt, metal and plastic collar necklace, zebra ring, and strappy high heeled sandals

This is a fashion tip that is relevant to both ladies and gents: pick your favorite, coolest T-shirts and put them together with a more posh item from your wardrobe, add some bold accessories and voila, a look that’ll take you from day to evening!
In the words of fashion guru Tim Gunn, “make it work people!”

Vera & Rony, What We Wear

Hello ladies and gents!

For a recent girls’ night out on our trip to the desert, we decided to bring some flowers in bloom to the desert landscape.
Flower prints are lovely and girly and can be worn both as a chic unique print and as part of a more casual outfit. For our drinks we decided to rock the flower print in a pretty casual way, yet cool and edgy for a night out. Of course we wore heels to dress up our outfits, but kept to the more comfortable wedges.

Vera wore a flower print tank dress, loose and comfortable but romantic and colorful. She gave the dress a cool twist with her camel suede men’s vest and camel platforms.

I wore flower print high waisted chiffon overlay shorts with a ripped top. I dressed up my outfit with dominatrix-like platform heels.

Needless to say, we had a blast!

Hello fashionistas!

Our own Vera made it on HaAretz newspaper’s best dressed list! We are soooooo proud!!

Vera was photographed at the recent exhibit opening we blogged about https://wattwewear.wordpress.com/2012/03/09/paper-and-stuff/

and was chosen out of all the celebs at the opening to be featured on the best dressed list! My little girl is all grown up, I couldn’t be more proud!!!

Vera wore a knee length strapless dress over a black mesh top with a leather jacket and bag and lace up booties. The necklace was her own concoction, to match the coffee table she exhibited at the opening, how ingenious! The earings were designed and created by her dad.

Congradulations Vera!

Purim is our favorite jewish holiday! We love to dress up and this year, as in previous ones, we celebrated in style!

I dressed up as Alice in Wonderland and I have to say this is one of my all time favorite costumes! Vera dressed up as a princess fairy and wore a tutu she sewed herself. Vera’s sister in law was an Indian in a green Sari which was very complementary to her red hair, and Vera’s cousin was the Pink Panther in an all pink outfit she sewed herself.

Happy Purim everyone!

For a close friend’s wedding, we both opted for Little Black Dresses, the classic that can do no wrong. We each put our own twist and personality into the look:

Vera wore a little black jacket with gold buttons and gold jewelery designed by a very talented jewelery designer, her dad (!!!!) all paired with almost nude tights and patent heels. And of course her LBD, strapless with sequins.

I wore a lacy backless dress with layered necklaces, huge cocktail rings, and black high heeled oxfords.

Guest starring in this post is our friend Piter who was very dapper in his all gray outfit.
