Every girl has her favorite piece of clothing, a piece that she can wear with everything for everything and that makes her feel at her best! But what do you do when your favorite piece is only suitable for warm weather? Layering!

Winter outfits

Layers are always in fashion, the more the merrier! Layering not only makes the outfit suitable for almost any weather conditions, but can also conceal certain body parts and accentuate certain parts you’d like to show off.

This allows the comeback of your favorite summer staples, but is also a very economical attitude – rather than buying new, revive your favorites by wearing them with new layers and accessories.

Rony and Vera

Rony’s favorite piece from summer is a blue and pink-collar cut out romper. To make it suitable for the cold months of winter she wore it over a striped button down blouse and print tights. Rony completed her outfit with leopard print slipper flats, cream and pink bag and neon chain necklaces.

**Tip for mixing prints**: Keep the outfit in the same color palettes or color families so that even if you wear three or more different prints, they will agree with each other rather than clash. Rony did so with her striped blouse, the same color family as her romper and trench, together with print tights that go with her bag.

Vera’s favorite summer pieces are an oversized pale pink tunic and a burgundy cotton skirt. To make these items cold-weather ready she put them together with a cream knit sweater, faux fur fluffy cardigan, and light brown tights. To complete the outfit Vera wore brown brogues, black leather bag and an oversized ring pendant chain necklace.

**Tip for mixing colors**:  Keep the outfit in similar shades and texture for each color. Vera did so by working up the shade and color scale, from cream to light pink to brown to plum to deep wine red.

A trench is a must during the rainy Israeli winter, so both of us topped the outfit off with our favorite trench coats.

Another great way to bring some summer sunshine into your life is by wearing bright shades of nail polish! Vera chose bright pink and Rony chose bright orange.

Hey friends!

Besides being one of nature’s most amazing creations, the beach is also sandy, humid, windy, wet and has the most revealing lighting. Not exactly the ideal runway for a fashionista. We do love going to the beach though, especially when we live so close to some of the Mediterranean’s most beautiful beaches. Ladies and gentleman, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: We give you What We Wear, the bathing suit edition!!

Beach fashion is no less important than any other fashion, and is much more problematic. What works on the street won’t work on the beach. When you have sand all over you the last thing you want is clothing that’ll stick to your skin. We chose beach dresses in flowy breathable fabrics.

Vera’s first dress is a 100% cotton fuchsia mini dress which can be worn with or without a string belt. This dress can be worn in winter as well with leggings and a jacket. She completed the outfit with black flip flops, black and white straw hat and brownish Ray Bans.

The second dress Vera wore is the perfect beach dress: it’s 100% silk fuchsia dress with bows on the shoulders to adjust the straps. This piece is really flowy and feels like you have nothing on so it’s great for super hot weather. My first dress is a %100 cotton pale pink dress. What’s great about this dress is that it’s loose, especially around the sleeves so that there’s maximum breathing space, but can also be adjusted by drawstring if it feels too big. I completed the outfit with gold strap sandals, a men’s straw hat and leopard print sunglasses. The second dress I wore is actually a %100 chiffon purple tunic I bought in a bigger size and wear as a dress. This is a piece that can be worn outside the beach, it’s classy and a bit dressy and goes with just about anything! The bright color of the tunic brings out my tan and blonde hair. Our advice is to buy your beach dress a size bigger than you usually wear so that it stays loose and comfortable. Colors are the fun part to play with, we usually go for brightly colored pieces that are attention grabbing and won’t fade in the summer sun. Don’t forget that at the beach accessories can be kept to a minimum besides the essentials: sunglasses, hat, etc.

And to the most important beach wardrobe staples: The swimsuits!

Vera wore a red retro bra-like top with brown bottoms. The little skirt attached to the bottom gives the bikini a bit of a flattering twist. Vera’s bikini was put together by mixing pieces from different sets. We recommend mixing different tops and bottoms to make your swimsuit more interesting. Especially in today’s fashion where different colors, prints, cuts and styles are put together and mismatched. Everything goes! I also mixed a top and bottom from two separate bikinis to create an interesting mix of colors. Although I prefer to tan in a strapless bikini as it leaves no tan lines, the triangle cut is much more flattering, especially on girls with a bigger bust.

Remember, no one has a perfect body, even the skinniest supermodels have cellulite; it’s all a matter of finding the perfect cut swimsuit for your body, wearing a suit that suits your shape and wearing it with confidence. Don’t forget to drink lots of water and apply lots of sunscreen. Being healthy and protecting your skin is always in fashion!

Hey there fashion people!

From Prada to Victoria Beckham, color blocks are big in all the hottest collections this season. For this edition of What We Wear we did color blocking the way we do best: chic, stylish, and casual yet cool.

We’re sure that each one of you has a statement making bright colored item that you just don’t know how to wear and with what. Here’s an unexpected suggestion, wear it with another bright colored statement making item to make your outfit truly stand out!

Vera wore a hippy maxi purple skirt, turquoise collar top, studded belt, a worker’s black vest and checkered Converses.

Combining the romantic skirt and feminine top with a sporty look made Vera’s outfit edgy and unique.

I wore a bright colored striped plise skirt with a lacy vintage top, velvet plum jacket, men’s grosgrain belt, color block bag and color block strappy sandals.

Mixing different colors and textures kept my outfit unique and unexpected, and putting them together with pulled back hair and calmer accessories kept the outfit from getting too crazy.

While it seems that layering should be saved for the in between seasons, it’s actually important for summer as well. Going from hot humid days outside to air conditioning inside and cool evenings, it’s important to dress practical. Pieces such as vests and light short sleeved jackets are perfect for outfits that last from day till night.

Wearing too much of a certain style or trend can make the outfit look too costumey; a great way of keeping it interesting and cool is mixing different styles and textures. Vera for example mixed her ultra feminine top and flowy hippy skirt with a super masculine, bodyguard-like vest.

To keep from going too “pop star”, I mixed my bright 80′s colored skirt with a romantic vintage top and a men’s belt.

Conclusion is, don’t be afraid of mixing styles, everything goes as long as you act your fabulous self and wear your style with confidence!

Hey guys!

Summer nights are getting hotter and so are our going out outfits! Sleeveless, strapless, basically less! We chose summer dresses made out of breathable, gentle, flowy fabrics. These dresses are sexy and stylish for a night out yet chic and classy to suit a day or dinner party. While the lengths of the dresses can be kept demure, bold colors are a great way to bring out your wild side, especially in summer to show off your tan! We decided to keep to the superhero color palette: superwoman bright red and royal blue.

Rony wore a red chiffon leopard print strapless dress  with chunky heeled strappy sandals. She wore the outfit with blue and white striped bag, thin brown belt, and animal pendant necklaces.

The flowiness of her dress is perfect for any season and flattering on all body types and the cut of the dress shows off a small waist like Rony’s.

I wore a 50′s style red and blue print dress with a denim vest, beige cutout wedges and a camel handbag.

The A-lined cut of my dress is especially flattering for a very feminine look, the shape and the print give the illusion of curviness.

I accessorized with a natural coral beads necklace.

Don’t forget that if you chose to reveal on top with a strapless cut, keep it classy and understated with the length of the dress.

We think fabulous dresses are a great excuse to throw a party! best accessory of the day/night? our multicolored balloons :)

Whether during the day or at night, keep on party rockin’!!!

Hello there dears!

Knits are huge this season, especially crochet and lace! The more granny chic and authentic the look, the better!

For this post we played with different fabrics and textures that are right in the summer heat – especially in a city as humid as Tel Aviv.

Image

Image

Rony  wore  light crème high waisted lace shorts with a puffy sleeved flower print button up shirt, beige wedges and retro sunglasses. Speaking of granny chic, the jacket Rony wore belongs to her grandmother and is a fabulous mixture of light fabric and structured retro shape.

Image

Image

ImageImage

As the shorts have a beautiful pattern that Rony wanted to show off, she wore a light colored patterned shirt tucked in so that both the stitching and the color of the shorts are emphasized.

Image

To give her look some edge, Rony wore a woven gold African-inspired necklace with a contrasting pattern and a vintage woven clutch.

Image

Image

I on the other hand went all out for the granny/flowery look.  I wore low waisted crochet shorts with a floral tunic top, a thin camel belt and knit granny vest.

Image

Image

since the shorts are low waisted, the only tops they look classy with are long voluminous ones. The contrast in volumes between the shorts and the top is very flattering and makes my legs look extra long!

Image

Image

I wore my outfit with camel wedges and a big straw hat, also adorned with flowers. The big gold link necklace I wore actually used to be a belt but I decided to wear it as jewelry!

The light, breathable fabrics and the creamy colors go perfectly in the hot summer days. However, don’t forget to give your outfit a little eye catching edge here and there – keep it interesting, cool, and unexpected!

Till next Time!

Hey you fashion lovers!

Summer is definitely here and the summer fashion front calls for lots of colors and prints! Despite the hot weather, pants will always be an integral part of our wardrobes, whether for school, the office, or for evening. For this post we decided to show you how colored trousers can be worn with different tops and blouses, to create chic outfits even hotter than the weather.

Vera wore forest green skinny jeans with a vintage rose pink blouse. The volume of the blouse not only breaks the look of the tight trousers and upgrades it but it also made Vera’s legs look skinny and long. She completed the look with pale pink peep toe flats and a bright pink tote that gave her 80′s look an urban-modern touch.

I wore high waisted orange trousers with an asymmetrical navy chiffon dress which I tied up and wore as a top. The dress has a unique twist to it, a piece of fabric that comes down from the shoulder and gives a flowy and sophisticated touch to the outfit. I call it my bat girl dress, it helps me save the world!I combined the outfit with brownish plaid peep toes, a Coach tote, big bangles and a scarf worn as a head band to give my geometric style a 60′s twist!

Both of us folded our trousers to give them more of a straight look. We must say though that the trouser fold doesn’t fit all body shapes and sometimes it can shorten the legs.

Color, shapes and style mixing can do only good to your outfit and figure!

Hello fashionistas!

As we’ve told you before, Vera and I have a tendency to wear matching outfits without ever planning to or discussing it; we like to call it style telepathy. It just so happens that we both bought the same layered H&M skirt in different colors.

Skirt Chronicles: One skirt worn two different ways, different body types and different personal styles, and lots of color!

Vera wore her maroon version with an antique looking sea green button down crinkled shirt, large beaded bangles, silver hoops necklace, and gray suede pumps.

I wore my pink and orange version with a bright blue zip front top, print silk scarf, gold and formica necklace, navy and cream satchel, waist belt, and peep toe heels.

The great thing about this skirt is it can go so many ways, casual, summery and day chic as I wore it, or posh, office or dinner date ready as Vera wore it.

Isn’t it awesome how the same skirt can look so different when worn in different colors and when put together with different tops, accessories and shoes?!
The lesson this time is mix your colors boldly; don’t be bashful, show off a little!

Hello friends,

We love you so much we decided to take you shopping with us! Summer is fast approaching so we decided to go scavenge some wardrobe staples for the upcoming hot weather.

From Dior to Urban Outfitters, flowy dresses in cool prints are going to be big this season. We found layered mini dresses in cool zig zag prints for only $10!

Cool sheer tops can get you a long way – breezy enough to be worn during the day with shorts, dressy enough to be worn in the evening with a smart pant or high waisted skirt. We particularly liked the ones we spotted in black and hot pink, a color that is always big in summer and looks great with sun kissed skin.

As all you fashionistas must know, accessories can really make the outfit. We loved this orange faux leather bag, it will definitely give any outfit a serious color boost. Jimmy Choo’s summer collection offers a few citrus colored croc bags, as does Blugirl. But guess what, the bag we found was only $15!!

We love retro, going retro is always a great way to be unique and feminine. These polka dot high waisted skirts have just the right fix of 50′s chic and are breezy and light so will be great in the hot summer months. Kate Spade’s summer 2012 collection featured a similar skirt, and polka dots in general were big in the resort collections. For more accessible prices, Topshop has some cool 50′s inspired skirts in flowery prints.

Just because summer means bathing suits and being half naked doesn’t mean we can neglect our style and good taste! There are plenty of accessories that we can play with and plenty of cool options of what to wear over the swimsuit.

The hats we tried on, for example, are very St. Tropez. Similar ones were seen at Blumarine’s resort collection and at Alice + Olivia.

Take advantage of time you have off for spring break and go shopping with friends, mom, or by yourslef! Remember, money can’t buy taste and good style can be found even at low prices.
We would love to hear about your summer staples and what you plan to wear when it gets hot!

Hello boys and girls!

Since we love animals so much we decided to dedicate a whole photoshoot to our cute little furry friends! What better way to show our love for animals than by wearing only faux fur and faux leather? Don’t worry, we feed and play with them as well! :)

You know those cool sleeveless cardigans and vests you didn’t get a chance to wear in winter? Well now that spring is in the air and summer is fast approaching it is the best time to wear them! No need for coats or big jackets anymore (Yay!!), furry vests are a great way to keep warm in the in between seasons or on chilly evenings.

Rony combined a camel faux leather skirt with a dark brown faux fur belted vest together with a puffy sleeved light blue shirt. She gave her outfit a color twist with a beautiful silky print scarf and two toned heels. As we all know it’s important to change up a color palette with some other bright color or print, just as Rony did with her scarf!

I wore a gray faux fur fluffy vest with a denim voluminous high waisted skirt and a pink kitten print shirt, my splash of color! And of course, what would a post about animals be without my leopard print tights?!

Our guest models in this post are the fabulous Teddy and Saki who enjoyed the warm spring sun with us.

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

So remember, a bit of color will brighten your outfit and your day and a bit of fur will keep you warm.

Since we all love animals please use only products with the little rabbit icon on them, it means they weren’t tested on animals.
