Hi everyone!

Fashion is not just about clothing and accessories; it doesn’t only have to do with what’s trendy and fabulous. As Coco Chanel said, “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening”.

Men and women that are aware of their appearance and have their own sense of style will always look fashionable, no matter what they wear.

So really fashion is all about the visual – whether it be a Chanel jacket, modern urban architecture or a beautiful garden.

This weekend we discovered an amazing park just forty minutes outside of Tel Aviv where the visual was an awe-inspiring one. The park, called Ramat Hanadiv, was created in commemoration of Baron Edmond De Rothschild and his close family. The baron was a wealthy French man who donated a lot of his wealth during the British Mandate in Israel for the welfare of the first Jewish settlers of the new state.

The park is divided into several different gardens and offers visitors a range of pleasurable pursuits. Throughout the Park are different hiking trails where one will pass through typical Mediterranean terrain, beautiful views at the observation point, sites of prehistoric settlement, and hidden spring – all meant to help preserve the ancient landscape of Israel.

We were highly impressed by the level of maintenance of the beautiful gardens and by how the ecosystems in the park are being sustained. The trees and the foliage are a combination of European and Mediterranean species, creating a visual that is very European with Spanish influence, and at the same time very Israeli.

The park Information Center building is the first and only existing LEED certified building in Israel – a building which follows international rules of sustainable architecture. The building was built inside of a hill, maintaining the natural terrain and designing architecture that goes along with its natural habitat. Electricity at the site is created solely from solar power collected using special solar panels. The plants and trees are all grown at an onsite greenhouse and are watered by a recycled gray water irrigation system.

As designers and architects we were inspired by the design solutions achieved at the park’s landscape and architecture!

Whenever you feel you have had enough of the city we recommend visiting a beautiful park and taking a breath of unpolluted fresh air!

Hello fellow fashionistas!

Us modern women are always busy – whether we juggle family, studies, work, supporting our men, a million errands and running a household and of course try to leave a little time for shopping. We don’t always have time to plan our outfits and really think about what to wear on certain occasions. What’s easier than wearing a matched set?! Minimum thought is required, 100% fabulousness achieved.

The return of 80′s and 90′s fashion brought back the perfectly matched sets. The modern take on this trend is much more exciting though: sets that are made effortlessly by putting together similar prints, colors, fabrics, etc. This goes hand in hand with the current fashion attitude of making the outfit all your own and letting your confidence and creativity shine.

Rony wore a sheer owl print chiffon blouse with sheer chiffon overlay shorts, gray fedora, gray peep toe booties, and leather satchel.

The matching fabrics and similar patterns and colors of the pieces Rony wore made this a perfect set and the masculine hat together with the ultra trendy booties made Rony’s outfit uber cool.

Vera wore a flannel button down shirt, turquoise denim skirt and green blazer with checkered All Stars.

Vera’s layered outfit is perfect for the in between seasons. While the jacket and skirt are all modern business woman, Vera’s slap-on-and-go shoes will make this outfit comfortable for any girl’s hectic day.

So when choosing what to wear for the busy day ahead of you we suggest using your creativity to put together your perfect set. One way you could always change it up and keep the matching interesting is with your makeup and nailpolish.

Hello there dears!

Knits are huge this season, especially crochet and lace! The more granny chic and authentic the look, the better!

For this post we played with different fabrics and textures that are right in the summer heat – especially in a city as humid as Tel Aviv.

Rony  wore  light crème high waisted lace shorts with a puffy sleeved flower print button up shirt, beige wedges and retro sunglasses. Speaking of granny chic, the jacket Rony wore belongs to her grandmother and is a fabulous mixture of light fabric and structured retro shape.

As the shorts have a beautiful pattern that Rony wanted to show off, she wore a light colored patterned shirt tucked in so that both the stitching and the color of the shorts are emphasized.

Image

To give her look some edge, Rony wore a woven gold African-inspired necklace with a contrasting pattern and a vintage woven clutch.

I on the other hand went all out for the granny/flowery look.  I wore low waisted crochet shorts with a floral tunic top, a thin camel belt and knit granny vest.

Image

Image

since the shorts are low waisted, the only tops they look classy with are long voluminous ones. The contrast in volumes between the shorts and the top is very flattering and makes my legs look extra long!

I wore my outfit with camel wedges and a big straw hat, also adorned with flowers. The big gold link necklace I wore actually used to be a belt but I decided to wear it as jewelry!

The light, breathable fabrics and the creamy colors go perfectly in the hot summer days. However, don’t forget to give your outfit a little eye catching edge here and there – keep it interesting, cool, and unexpected!

Till next Time!

We truly hope that spring has arrived to your home town because it surely hit ours!

The lovely warm weather and all the flowers that are blooming right now make us crave flowy dresses, hats and of course our favorite accessory- vests. So of course we decided to go boho chic on this post and show you how the look can be achieved.

Rony wore an  A-lined collar navy and white checkered dress. The layers of the dress along with the striped brownish gray vest looked fabulous on Rony and really flattered her shape. She wore nomad-like suede flat booties and a men’s straw panama hat. Sometimes it’s fun to steal from the boys, masculine accessories give feminine dresses a cool twist.

I wore a long floral dress sewn by none other than my mother and moi! The short puffy sleeves of the dress flatter my arms and the high waisted shape combined with the long length would give anyone a beautifully long silhouette. My strappy camel wedges probably helped with the long silhouette :) But flats will look fabulous as well!

Oh the bohemian life… flowy dresses, cool jewelry, awesome music and art and a chilled lifestyle.. sound good? Sounds amazing to us!

So take a walk on the beach, enjoy the sand and the breeze and the sun! But don’t forget to stop for some refreshments in the hot weather!

Spring is in the air: The birds are chirping, the air is getting warm and the flowers are in bloom. What a romantic time! Now is the perfect opportunity to wear your most romantic, hippy clothes and be sure to wear some flowers in your hair :)

Lace, flower prints, flowy fabrics, embroidery, light vests should all be part of your fashion vocabulary this season. Spring time is great time to wear closed shoes and booties without the need for tights and before it gets too hot and balmy.

Vera was hot in 70′s chic with an embroidered handmade blouse from the Ukraine which she wore with a denim jacket, boot cut dark jeans, brown braid belt, two-toned faux croc heels and gold jewelry.

I wore an embroidered flower print dress with a vintage lace vest, waist cinching belt, colorful scarf which I wore as a head band, high heeled booties and a vintage gold necklace.

Now is a great time to get in touch with nature, explore and hike. Or if you’re a city girl/guy like we are, look for a spot of nature in the city where you can find your serenity.

Let’s be nice to planet Earth and be environmentally friendly; after all it is our only home!

We love being feminine, and being the girly girls we are, we can greatly appreciate a good skirt or dress.

However, there’s nothing sexier than a woman who can carry off a good pair of trousers, the more masculine the better.  Pants can be elegant and dressy in a very cool, non-obvious way.

What better way to display our pants than with an architectural, metropolitan backdrop?!

Unfortunately the strong wind knocked down my camera and we had no choice but to continue the photo shoot with our iPhones. But don’t despair! The fun continued as we played on the beautiful concrete sculptures.

Vera wore wide legged pants that with all the wind and volume looked like a very cool maxi skirt. She put together an edgy look with a striped top, gray vest, studded belt, ballerina flats, silver chain necklaces and a massive rhinestone ring.

I wore jockey-like balloon pants, one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I own, with a button down shirt, high heeled oxfords, vintage Ray Bans, big rings, and peachy necklace and earrings.

While we did decide we wanted to post about some of our coolest trousers, we never agreed on color, and somehow we ended up coordinating our color palettes. What can we say, great minds think alike!

Hello fashionistas!

Shorts with tights: hot or not? We’ve heard different opinions.

We believe the following: if you’ve got it, flaunt it! Especially when it comes to legs, which Vera and I both have miles of. Shorts are a great way of showing off your legs, and why have to give that up in winter?!

For this reason exactly we decided to shoot outfits with some of our favorite shorts and prove that you can make them work in winter, and even make a very sophisticated look out of them!

Vera agreed with the park scenery in her flower petal green shorts which she wore with a yellow sweater, black suit jacket, gingham peep toe heels and a charm necklace.

I went for a color burst in my high waisted red vintage shorts worn with a white button down shirt, knit  kimono cardigan, moccasin wedges, patent bottle-green tote and gold and red-enamel earrings.

Keep us posted on what you think of this look and how you plan on keeping it hot while the weather is still cold.

Hello boys and girls,

Geek is in! Every one of us has their inner geek, it’s all a matter of whether we chose to embrace our geekiness or not. Vera and I say why not show your nerdy self in the best way possible?!

For our first photoshoot, which we are sooo excited about, we dressed like our proper nerdy school girls-selves and the result? Très chic!

Vera was office ready in her Ray Ban glasses and a pinstriped button down shirt tucked into a high waisted skirt. She put a cool twist on the look with her furry booties and represented in an English flag cardigan.

I wore a vintage school girl dress with knee-high socks and ballerina flats and a briefcase-like bag. I offset the good girl look with a cropped leather jacket and a gray scarf.

until next time, xoxo
